Empowering Young Minds

Roshen Nair Foundation strives to give scholastic students the opportunity to receive expert instruction and guidance in exploring their areas of interest by helping them improve their critical thinking skills, strengthen their use of deductive reasoning, learn meaningful life lessons and earn recognition for their talents. Training is provided in chess, math and leadership fields with little to no cost. In the process, Roshen Nair Foundation also gives back to the community by contributing to several non-profit organizations worldwide.

A Little Change Makes All The Difference

It all started in December 2018. As a 12-year old kid, I went to the 2018 North American Open (an international tournament open to all ages), seeking to improve my skills as a chess player by gaining as much experience as possible. I didn’t realize back then that my life was just about to take a huge turn – as a player, and much more. It was with the $7000 prize money that I earned from winning this prestigious event that I founded Roshen Nair Foundation, with the goal of helping other kids experience the same joy that I was blessed with during that experience.

• Trained/mentored 250+ students in various fields (chess, mathematics, leadership, etc.)
• Has taught students across all time zones within the US as well as in other continents (Europe and Asia)
• Volunteered Over 1200 hours of time in its efforts (teaching students, running tournaments, and collaborating with nonprofit organization) since 2019
• Raised and donated over $51,000 to nonprofit organizations
• Supported 12 different non-profit organizations so far
• Ran Over 30+ Rated Tournaments (USCF and/or NWSRS Rated)
